Guar Gum & modified Guar

Guar Gum is a water-soluble polysaccharide derived from the guar bean. It is used primarily as a thickener and stabiliser, with high viscosity and a smooth finish.
Guar gum can be specially processed to give lower viscosity, making it ideal for applications where you need to use more of the gum to control texture, without making the product too thick or sticky. These modified guar gums also offer better resistance to enzyme breakdown.

In water-based paints, plasters, and architectural coatings, guar gum improves rheology and water retention, helping to prevent dripping, pigment settling, and moisture loss.
